Personal Files & Folders

Users access their shared folders under “My Cloud Files”. Files and folders created under these shared folders are stored on their respective storage providers.

Users may also create their own “personal” files and folders under “My Cloud Files” directly. These are stored in a user's personal space. They are not accessible by other users. (They are stored on default storage as configured by an administrator).

Personal files and folders have a Provider name of “SME”.

Beginning with the 2401 release, organisation administrators can control whether end users can create personal files and folders.

The setting can be managed from the Organisation Policies under User Governance, Disable upload/private folders in root.

For new organisations, the default is ON, thus disabling any personal folders. For organisations created before the 2401 release, the setting will remain OFF for backwards compatibility.
