2.5 - April 11th, 2024
Changes
- MD-210: The tag
macsync
is no longer added to files uploaded through the drive. - MD-102: The Copy password button for sharing links now provides confirmation.
- MD-213: Individual logs are now rotated after 7 days rather than 24 hours.
- MD-233: Files that have changed remotely will now be downloaded even when the Finder window is closed.
- MD-279: API Tokens are now renewed when they expire rather than periodically.
- MD-277: Error handling when downloading has been improved.
- MD-68: RTF files will no longer unlock spontaneously. They will now unlock when closed.
- MD-267: Saving Excel files will longer create conflict files due to ~$ lock files being uploaded
- MD-273: Some folders were showing incomplete or out of date content. This has been resolved.
- MD-274: Some folders were taking several minutes to load. This has been resolved.
- MD-275: Conflict files are no longer created when updating large PSD files. This was happening when an earlier saved version had not been uploaded yet.
- MD-280: Deleted files are no longer processed multiple times (as seen in the logs).
- MD-281: The local metadata cache is now cleared when disabling the drive.
- MD-320: Files no longer stop downloading if folders have been removed from the provider.
- MD-322: The root folder no longer shows as empty after enabling the drive.
- MD-324: An in-app upgrade no longer pops up a warning that the Nasuni InDesign locker is not running.

Features
Mac Drive Web Editing via Office Online - Users can now open files for edit from the Mac cloud drive directly into Microsoft Office Online.
Preview Files Within The Mac Drive - Users can now see thumbnail previews of files within the Mac Drive to more readily identify correct files for open and download.

Resolved Issues
- MD-160: Automatic locking of Adobe InDesign files is now supported.
- MD-134: Unable to delete any folder or file from Mac Drive.
- MD-135: The modification time for a file may be incorrectly updated when a new version is uploaded through the Cloud File Manager.
- MD-136: Copying a folder to a folder with the same name but different contents may create file conflicts even when “Replace” is selected.
- MD-137, MD-129: Drive now supports very large files (such as 14 GB)
- MD-140: When moving a folder between providers via the Cloud File Manager the source folder disappears from the drive but target may not show up.
- MD-144, MD-128: An attempt to retry an upload a file that had been successfully uploaded, such as after a network restart, no longer creates a conflict file.
- MD-158: A folder containing subfolders may not be removed from drive if it has been already deleted through the Cloud File Manager.
- MD-112, MD-126: Error handling for file uploads, such as when the Mac goes into sleep, has been improved.
- MD-113: Folders can be stuck in a loading state when the Mac starts up after sleeping.
- MD-114: Network error handling for file uploads has been improved.
- MD-115: In some cases editing Indesign files results in conflict files.
- MD-117, MD-146: The drive no longer slows down when listing folders with hidden subfolders.
- MD-119: An issue uploading a Keynote package due to a folder encoding has been corrected.
- MD-121: Error handling has been improved for files that have been removed from the server.
- MD-122: Cached files may now be evicted by the File Provider to free up space after the drive is restarted.
- MD-123: Resolved an issue where directories temporarily 'disappeared' (due to network errors).
- MD-124: Resolved an issue that caused drives to show as empty.
- MD-139: Saving a file opened on the drive to another directory will no raise a “Resource Deadlock” error.
Known Issues
- MD-25: Premier Pro Files with a + in the file name cannot be relinked in a project.
- MD-86: Accessing via the Favorites Sidebar may not refresh automatically.
- MD-104: Switching to CoreData from User Defaults for File Information / Snapshots / Local Sync
- MD-109: Folders access through “Recents” may not refresh automatically.
- MD-130: Uploading an expanded application folder may fail.
- MD-159: Undoing an event through Finder is not reflected in an undo against the Server.
2.1 - Dec. 20, 2022
- [MD-31, MD-32] M-Stream Upload and download is now supported through the Drive. This is transparent to the end user.
- [MD-55, MD-66] The drive now supports offline access. When files/folders are downloaded they can still be accessed when the network is disconnected. Changes will sync automatically when back online.
- [MD-61] IT Administrators can now pre-set the endpoint in the Drive through Plist configuration.
- [MD-84] IT Administrators can now disable the Auto Update feature through Plist configuration.
- [MD-44] The “Open Folder” button is more consistently available on the Settings screen
- [MD-45] Read-Only access to folders is now enforced by the Drive
- [MD-81] In some cases, folder sharing would not work. This has been resolved.
- [MD-93] A number of application crashes have been resolved.
- [MD-97] An improvement to the handling of state between upgrades has been made.
