OneDrive (free) Advisory
Last edited on September 7, 2021.
As a result of changes made by Microsoft to their API, the File Fabric's OneDrive (free) connector is no longer functional. OneDrive for Business and Office 365 were not affected.
We have removed the OneDrive (free) connector from the list of available connectors on our US and EU SaaS sites. It has been replaced with a new connector that works properly with both OneDrive (free) and OneDrive for Business. The File Fabric now supports only the OneDrive connector for use with all OneDrive accounts. The File Fabric's OneDrive for Business connector is no longer supported.
For more information see Microsoft OneDrive Provider.
For our File Fabric appliance customers whose appliances we manage, we took the following steps:
- Removing the OneDrive (SkyDrive) connector that was used for OneDrive (free) access from the list of available connectors in every package.
- Notifying each customer if the OneDrive (SkyDrive) connector is in use on their appliance.
For our File Fabric appliance customers we have provided a script they can run to determine whether and by whom OneDrive (free) is being used on their File Fabric, and to remove the connector from the list of available connectors in every package.
If you have any questions about using OneDrive (free) with the File Fabric, please contact SME Support at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
