Supported Browsers and Client Devices

This document outlines the supported environments for the File Fabric web and client Applications.

1 Supported Browsers

The File Fabric Web File Manager supports the two most recent versions of the following browsers:

  • Chrome
  • Firefox
  • Safari
  • Microsoft Edge


Other browsers might work with however we do not certify against them and cannot guarantee that features will work as expected.  
No matter what browser you use, you should ensure that both JavaScript and Cookies are enabled.

2 Desktop

The following desktop operating systems are supported for the File Fabric desktop client tools:

For Windows

  • Windows 8
  • Windows 10

Note that an X86 device running Windows is required

For Mac

  • Catalina (10.15.x)
  • Big Sur (11.x)

For Linux

  • This is dependent on the distro and you should check the Linux tools page for more information.

3 iPhone / iPad

The File Fabric iOS App can work with iOS versions in excess of 5.1+

The latest versions of the iOS App may require a higher minimum iOS operating system version.

4 Android

The File Fabric Android App works with Android versions in excess of version 4.4+

The latest versions of the Android App may require a higher minimum Android operating system version.

5 Windows Phone

Storage Made Easy Windows Phone App works with Windows Phone versions in excess of 7.5+. Please note that the latest versions of the App may require a higher minimum Windows Phone operating system version

Please note this App is still available but is in maintenance mode only

6 BlackBerry

The File Fabric BlackBerry App works with the following devices:
8100
8110
8120
8130
8130m
8220
8230
8230f
For OS 10 and BlackBerry PlayBook SME provider an App that can be sideloaded

Please note that no further updates will be provider for BlackBerry devices and if users which to use the latest File Fabric on BlackBerry OS 10 devices they should use the File Fabric Android App.

7 Other Mobile

The File Fabric also provides a native web Mobile experience that should also work on all modern phone and tablets.
