Enhancements
- [SME-2607] - Improved API caching within the CloudFTP Protocol Gateway.
- [SME-3390] - Improved error reporting when a destination folder is not found on a Google Drive provider.
- [SME-3400] - Improved resiliency for slow CloudFTP file transfers.
- [SME-3822] - Maximum tag size is now enforced uniformly.
- [SME-4575] - Previously some API methods returned “permission denied” in response to an attempt to access a file that existed in an account other than the account of the user on whose behalf the method was invoked. Now “does not exist” is returned instead.
- [SME-4662] - The File Manager now displays more of the File Name when the amount of horizontal space available to it is less than what would be needed to show the full name and the applicable icons.

- [SME-4861] - The File Manager now shows how much time has passed since the displayed folder was most recently refreshed.
- [SME-5051] - Performance of loading the root folder for org. members has been improved.
- [SME-5153] - The amount of storage space being consumed by a user now includes space used by files that were uploaded directly to the storage and discovered by Access Anywhere.

- [SME-5434] - The API has been enhanced to include a single-step method for uploading files. CloudFTP now utilizes this new API function.

- [SME-5601] - The button to schedule a Provider Re-sync will now be shown when the following conditions are met: 1) user is an admin 2) Task scheduling is enabled in the Package 3) user has the ability to manage clouds.
- [SME-5641] - Handling of folders and files with leading or trailing spaces in their names has been improved.
- [SME-5676] - Error handling in the S3 and OpenS3 connectors has been improved for errors induced by throttling and other conditions.

- [SME-5783] - The Access Anywhere can now send warning emails when disk space is critically low.
- [SME-5785] - The File Manager's left sidebar can be hidden when it is displayed in Microsoft Teams.
- [SME-5803] - Several improvements have been made to how folders are uploaded in the File Manager. These include the addition of an overall progress indicator that remains visible until the upload is completed, and the ability to pause, resume and cancel folder uploads.
- [SME-5872] - The visual appearance of the Home Page and the File Manager has been updated.
- [SME-5906] - The File Manager now provides better information about progress during M-Stream accelerated uploads.
- [SME-5767] - New API methods exposed for M-Stream download.
- [SME-5793] - The shared file download notification email now indicates the username downloading the file where the name is known, and “unknown” for anonymous downloads.
- [SME-5801] - Updates to the doCopyFile API method to handle copying a file without retaining extension.
- [SME-5824] - Irregularities in the display of the icon for the NAA Shared Folder connector that is used by SiteLink have been corrected.
- [SME-5250] - API methods to support asynchronous folder loading experience for end-users have been added.
- [SME-5251] - Improvements to the internal handling of download records have been made.
- [SME-5473] - Tag values longer than the maximum permitted length are now detected and rejected.
- [SME-5480] - Attempts to create folders in the root of providers that don't allow this resulted in error messages. Now the attempts are prevented.

- [SME-5617] - The getResyncReport API method is now visible n the API documentation.
- [SME-5635] - The appliance version is now included in the daily status email.

- [SME-5754] - Improvements have been made to the ffconfig tool.
- [SME-5829] - Several improvements have been made to Access Anywhere's error detection and reporting including a way to turn error reporting on and off and batching of error reports.
- [SME-5830] - Log files that are archived by Access Anywhere are now compressed.
- [SME-5836] - The wording of Data Automation Rules action options has been improved.
- [SME-5837, SME-5952] - Libraries used by Access Anywhere have been upgraded to newer latest versions.
- [SME-5896] - The setting to control whether all access to Access Anywhere must use SSL has been removed from organization policies.
- [SME-5679] - Users accessing files and folders through sharing links can now be authenticated.
- [SME-5854] - A new policy setting allows an email to be sent to the org. admin each time there is a login by a user with admin privileges to Access Anywhere.
- [SME-5959] - The emails that notify recipients that files or folders have been shared with them have been restyled.
- [SME-5965] - The Solr search engine used by installations on which content search has been enabled has been upgraded to a newer version.
Updates and Resolutions
- [SME-4630] - When the File Manager was open in two or more browser tabs, actions that required the File Manager to redisplay the current directory sometimes caused the wrong directory to be displayed. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5354] - Operations on OneDrive were sometimes initiated prior to the completion of a previous move, rusting in failures. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5379] - An error in the way the syncOnProviderEevent API method handled renames for Google Drive has been resolved.
- [SME-5412] - In certain circumstances, the audit logs would not show CloudFTP as the connecting client. This is resolved.
- [SME-5422] - A Warning is now shown before the deleting of large nested directories in the Web File Manager.
- [SME-5427] - In certain circumstances, files could not be copied to another directory if they had been shared with a business group. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5428] - In certain circumstances, an error was produced when trying to export personal data from the Dashboard. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5430] - The setOrgFolderPermissions API method now sets the default folder permission if it is not set by the API client.
- [SME-5431] - In certain circumstances, a timing discrepancy could cause uploads through CloudDAV to fail. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5432] - In certain circumstances, a timing discrepancy could cause uploads through CloudSFTP to fail. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5442] - Case sensitivity improvements for permission management have been made to the SMB Multi-User SMB and Nasuni connector.
- [SME-5446] - Validation of user names and addresses has been improved.
- [SME-5447] - A wider variety of character sets and characters can now be used in personally encryption phrases.
- [SME-5459] - Test emails sent from the appliance administrator's Email Templates page are now logged in the allemails.txt file.
- [SME-5463] - When several files were copied in parallel by M-Stream, sometimes some of the files were unnecessarily copied a second time. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5465] - Uploads of several files in a single operation using the File Manager sometimes resulted in an error message. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5469] - Validation of short URLs has been improved.
- [SME-5483] - In certain conditions, timeouts during a resync could occur. This is resolved.
- [SME-5484] - In certain conditions, an error could be produced when there was a failure to create an email backup. This is resolved.
- [SME-5487] - The “Send” button positioning within the Comments pane has been adjusted.
- [SME-5506] - The FTP connector now shows an error message in the path selector when a connection can not be established for any of a variety of reasons.
- [SME-5533] - Backup providers listed on the Dashboard now show their names in addition to the connector type and the username of the user who added the provider.
- [SME-5538] - An error message related to the cache which may have been observed infrequently has now been suppressed.
- [SME-5292] - A defect in support for a legacy format when setting permissions with the API has been resolved.
- [SME-5587] - When a new file was being created in the File Manager, sometimes the “Site Link” option for file type was repeated two or more times. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5594] - An error that was sometimes triggered when a folder was being converted to a Shared Team Folder or converted back to a private folder has been resolved.
- [SME-5602] - In certain conditions, audit log entries were not created for actions taken with the Windows Tools. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5620] - The performance of finding qualifying folders while processing search requests has been improved.
- [SME-5645] - In certain circumstances, an error could be produced whilst using the Evernote connector. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5664] - Acknowledging a mentions in a comment while an M-Stream upload was underway could cause the upload to terminate. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5683] - The list of available connectors for adding a private provider now matches the set of connectors allowed by the organization's policies.
- [SME-5706] - Provider type (connector) selection did not work as expected when a provider was being added through a touchscreen device. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5716] - User bandwidth notifications are now sent via internal messages.
- [SME-5735] - In certain circumstances, a file copy that could not be completed using one flavor of copying would be retried using two additional flavors when only one was appropriate. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5745] - Incorrect permissions were sometimes applied to root folders of SMB shares. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5746] - The links on the Encryption tab of the Organization Policies page for downloading the Decryption Tools were incorrect. They have been corrected.
- [SME-5747] - When an OpenS3 provider was used as a Backup Provider for an S3 provider, backup files were sometimes written to the wrong location. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5751] - In certain circumstances, the appladmin's email test function did not report the full error message in the event of an error. This is resolved.
- [SME-5756] - A database exception sometimes occurred when two or more concurrent requests to archive the Audit Logs were being prevented. This will no longer happen.
- [SME-5763] - When a user's Google Drive account included many Team Drives, sometimes the list of Team Drives returned by the API and displayed in the File Manager was incomplete. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5764] - Content indexing can no longer be changed via the Provider Settings screen, but can be via the ApplAdmin Storage screen.
- [SME-5768] - The extension can now be changed when a file is being renamed.
- [SME-5769] - Validity checks for user names were inconsistent. These have been harmonized.
- [SME-5776] - Passwordless login is now supported for Azure AD SAML authentication.
- [SME-5808] - The SyncOnProviderEvent API method now better handles ambiguities concerning the type (folder or file) of an operand.
- [SME-5815] - Contention between concurrent operations initiated by the same user in the File Manager has been reduced, improving throughput.

- [SME-5828] - Transcoding of a video file triggered by a Data Automation rule sometimes incorrectly returned an error message when no error had occurred. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5831] - Updates to configured file types for transcoding actions triggered by Data Automation Rules were not applied. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5835] - Support has been added for video transcoding of Panasonic P2 MXF files.
- [SME-5839] - When a new provider was added and the initial synchronization completed very quickly, an error was sometimes reported although the synchronization was successful. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5852] - Folder refresh did not work correctly for Nasuni and SMB Multiuser providers for organizations with only one member. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5853] - Video transcoding has been extended to include MXF files created on Panasonic P2.
- [SME-5855] - When thumbnail file generation was unsuccessful, sometimes temp files created during the process were not removed. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5857] - Drop Folders were not usable on the Nasuni or SMB Multiuser providers. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5870] - Internal improvements to the handling of session locking have been made.
- [SME-5873] - Previously it was possible to unshare SMB Multiuser and Nasuni providers. This action is now blocked.
- [SME-5876] - Whan an upload using CloudFTP or CloudSFTP was unsuccessful, temporary files were sometimes not cleaned removed. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5882] - Activating and then deactivating two-factor authentication prevented access by organization members. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5884] - An error prevented the “European Union - Personal Data (GDPR)” content detection category from being imported into an organization's Content Discovery configuration. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5886] - An uninformative popup message was displayed near the Tasks button in the File Manager when a background task failed. It is no longer displayed.
- [SME-5889] - The contents of the Online Users report sometimes contained a number of blank lines. This is now resolved.
- [SME-5892] - When versioning is in use and a new version of a file that had tags and/or a description was uploaded, the tags and descriptions remained with the old version instead of being transferred to the new head version. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5905] - Issues with creating and opening .xlsx files from Windows Explorer when using CloudDAV have been resolved.
- [SME-5916] - An error in the XML returned by the getFilePiiInfo API method has been resolved. This change also resolves an error in how detected content is displayed in the File Manager's Info panel.
- [SME-5740] - An error message that was displayed unnecessarily when the Solr content indexing service was not available has been suppressed.
- [SME-5451] - Errors were sometimes encountered when uploading small files for the first time with CloudFTP. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5734] - Data automation rules did not correctly handle the case where a file was to be moved to a directory that no longer existed. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5790] - Timestamps were sometimes updated incorrectly when files were renamed on OpenStack Swift, SwiftStack, Rackspace, and Google Drive providers. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5794] - Navigation controls on the Shared Team Folders Permission Report screen did not work as expected for multi-page lists. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5810] - The daily status email sometimes indicated that the PDF Burner service was running when it was not running. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5856] - Errors were sometimes reported during Deep Cloud Refresh. These have been resolved.
- [SME-5894] - The total size of a folder as calculated and displayed when a quota had been applied to the folder was sometimes incorrect. This has been resolved.
- [SME-3476] - The LDAP Authentication System will no longer allow changing the filed that has been designated as the unique identifier after users have been imported.

- [SME-5276] - The user's API Secret Key was sometimes not visible in the “Tech. info” section of the Dashboard. The key will now always be visible when that section is exposed.
- [SME-5292] - A defect that prevented files on appliance default storage providers from being backed up to a Backup Provider for the org. admin account and a defect that prevented a Backup Provider from being added to an appliance default storage provider after a Backup Provider had been added to and removed from the provider have been resolved.

- [SME-5694] - A defect that sometimes caused thecheckFolderQuotaReached API method to return incorrect results has been resolved.
- [SME-5725] - When the Shared Folders Permissions Report was exported in .csv format and then opened in Excel, path names were incorrectly interpreted as dates. This has been corrected.
- [SME-5728] - While a file was being uploaded in the File Manager its extension was sometimes displayed incorrectly. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5729] - In certain circumstances, the result of a virus scan was not reported in the Audit Logs. This is now resolved.
- [SME-5731] - An unwarranted error was sometimes displayed in the File Manager after a successful upload to Swift storage. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5758] - An inconsistency in how some API methods returned provider IDs has been resolved.
- [SME-5759] - The help popup after creating a Shared Team Folder no longer contains a broken link.
- [SME-5761] - Editing text files with the File Manager's built-in text editor when versioning was enabled did not cause version files to be created. Thus has been resolved.
- [SME-5762] - The wrong item was highlighted in the menu at the top of the org. admin's Content Intelligence page. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5819] - The previously deprecated Web Cloud Migration Assistant has been removed and is no longer supported. More info: https://docs.storagemadeeasy.com/cloudmigration
- [SME-5874] - Errors were sometimes reported during operations with Box.com providers. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5879] - The recalculation of total space consumed by each user did not always accurately reflect changes detected during provider re-syncs. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5904] - Users were unable to edit files in the Zoho web editor from the Mac and Windows desktop tools unless they were logged in to Access Anywhere through the browser. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5927] - An error in the audit log text for file moves has been corrected.
- * [SME-5940] - Under some circumstances, the right-click menu for a folder in the File Manager showed the wrong set of options. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5963] - Attempting to open a file on an SMB provider when a lock was required but the underlying file did not exist on the storage resulted in a zero-length file being created. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5943] - An error in an optimization intended to prevent files from being uploaded if they were identical to files that already existed incorrectly prevented otherwise identical copies from being uploaded with new names. This has been resolved.
- [SME-5923] - Version files were not created for files with certain patterns of
